Barrett's Esophagus Treatment for visitors to Houston

Dr. Ertan will manage most of the new Barrett's patients' problem within few days. On Day One, he will evaluate you condition and review your available medical records and probable perform blood/x-ray imaging diagnostics tests. On Day Two, he can perform an endoscopy with brush/biopsies, if needed, and give you provide a management /treatment plan. Most of the patients may be managed as an outpatient with proper diet and medications. If patient has Barrett's with significant dysplasia and needs endoscopic management with photodynamic therapy (link) or Halo ablation (BARRX) system. This may be arranged subsequent few days.
After your work-up, Dr. Ertan will advise you of a follow-up management/treatment plan. You may decide to revisit Dr. Ertan, or Dr. Ertan can delegate you to a local provider. We will send a consultation and endoscopy reports with proposed treatment plans for the local physician; please do ask them to contact us for further assistance if needed.
International patients with a limited English
For international patients and their physicians, Dr. Ertan's office can provide all necessary translation services. Translators will be available during your visit, and for all medical records and treatment plans.
